Tulum Wedding Photographer

Hi, I am Gareth, a wedding photographer Tulum Mexico. I have covered weddings all over Tulum and the Riviera Maya. I love being part of destination weddings in the area, as it embraces an eclectic combination of wild jungle and immaculate white sandy beaches.
However, checking out the best wedding photographers Tulum has to offer is no easy feat. Due to the abundance of creative talent available. So how do you go about choosing the perfect Tulum wedding photographer for your destination wedding in Mexico?
Wedding Photographers in Tulum
There is no hard, fast rule that stipulates who you should choose from your list of best wedding photographers Tulum. Every photographer has their own distinct photographic style. With this in mind, I´ll share some of my personal recommendations below.
- To begin with, make sure the person you are communicating with is the wedding photographer Tulum Mexico that attends your wedding on the day.
- Your photographer should be clear about what exactly is included in the photography package. Also they should elaborate on any additional charges, such as extra hours.
- If your wedding photographer Tulum Mexico is travelling from abroad, you need to make sure they have the necessary permits to cover your wedding. You don´t want them getting stopped by customs at the airport the day before your wedding.
Finally, go with your gut-feeling, you will be spending a majority of your day with your Tulum wedding photographer. It needs to be someone you get on with and trust.
Wedding Venues in Tulum
Tulum boasts an abundance of destination wedding venues with a rustic vibe, such as Akiin Beach. However, brides and grooms don´t necessarily get ready in the same venue where they are going to have the wedding ceremony. As a result, you will need to contemplate travel time getting from your hotel to the wedding venue, as traffic in Tulum can be cumbersome.
I would also recommend you liaise with your wedding photographer and wedding planner to define the best itinerary for your wedding day. Wedding ceremonies are generally in the late afternoon.
You will want to make the most of the available natural light for the ceremony and of course your family photos, group photos and bridal portraits.
In conclusion, Tulum is one of my favourite locations to shoot destination weddings in Mexico. No matter how small and intimate or large and lavish your wedding is going to be.
