South Indian Wedding in Cancun

Sindu and Anand hosted their South Indian Destination Wedding at the brand new Planet Hollywood Costa Mujeres. Whats more, this was the first Indian Wedding to be hosted at the brand new resort in Costa Mujeres.

This was our first Indian Wedding since the global COVID pandemic hit last year, and it was quite a celebration. Nevertheless, appropriate sanitary measures were taken throughout the celebration (including face masks, and anti-bacterial gel by all those working on-site).

Bridal Mehndi

Sindhu’s wedding celebration commenced with a Bridal Mehndi on day 1, in her hotel room with her close family and friends…and Anand of course.

Pithi Ceremony, Tug of War and Kite Flying

Day 2 started off with a fun and colourful pithi ceremony on the beach with Sindhu and Anand finishing off and taking a run and splash into the sea to freshen up and clean off! Followed by Kite flying, giant Jenga, and other fun games. Including a tug of war between Sindhu and her bridesmaids and Anand and his groomsmen.

Sangeet

The evening event was the Sangeet, with a themed design of Disney’s Frozen for the layout, and some superbly choreographed dances by bride, groom and the bridal party.

Tamil Wedding Ceremony

The grand day arrived and we started shooting at 6am with Sindhu, followed by a first look and Anand’s Baraat. With a guest appearance by Darth Vader leading the baraat and driving in a vintage car. Sindu joined in the baraat halfway with her family and bridesmaids, and all continued dancing down to the ceremony site. Where the Tamil wedding ceremony commenced.
