Indian Wedding Cancun - Generations Riviera Maya
Monica & Ronak

November 29th - December 1st, 2020
Indian Wedding In Cancun
Monica and Ronak had originally planned their 3 day Indian wedding in Cancun with more than 250 guests at Generations Riviera Maya. Unfortunately, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic it was no longer feasible. With this in mind they decided to change their wedding date to late November, early December 2020. Albeit with a much smaller gathering. As a result they hosted their 3 day Indian wedding in Cancun with their immediate family, 8 guests in total. Their travel operator was Shaadi Destinations, and additionally, JC Castillo Weddings as their Wedding Planner and Designer.
Despite their Cancun Indian wedding being in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, we ensured all the necessary precautions were taken. Obviously, this includes use of an obligatory face mask at all times and anti-bacterial gel.
In short, Monica and Ronak´s Indian Destination wedding in Cancun was nothing short of spectacular.
Bridal Mehndi - Day 1
The first event was Monica having her bridal mehndi on day 1 with her mum. Later she was joined by the groom, Ronak, and the rest of the family members for group photos. The intricate mehndi design was fulfilled by Loto Mehndi.
Pithi Ceremony - Day 2
On the next day, day 2, Monica and Ronak got a little messy with the Pithi ceremony. Amid the Palapa Ganesh at the Generations Riviera Maya resort. A fun filled afternoon with cultural traditions, which ultimately ended up with bride and groom taking a dip in the sea fully clothed.
Indian Wedding Ceremony - Day 3
Finally the day arrived. Day 3 was Monica and Ronak´s grand day! First, the day commenced with Monica, our Indian bride getting ready in her hotel room. With make-up and hair by Sara Tamargo and her team. While, Ronak, our groom, was getting ready in his hotel room by himself. Once Monica was ready, she put on a stunning traditional Indian outfit by renowned Indian fashion design, Sabyasachi. Similarly, once our groom was all set, he donned a beige outfit by Manyavar.
First Look and Indian Wedding Ceremony at the Mandap
Eventually we accompanied Ronak to a secluded area, near his hotel room. While he awaited Monica to approach him from behind with a surprise and emotional first look. About 30 minutes later and after some quick bride and groom portraits. We moved to the mandap, for the Indian wedding ceremony.
Upon finishing the Indian wedding ceremony, family photos were taken on the Mandap, followed by bride and groom portraits. Monica and Ronak then changed into their evening wedding attire.
Indian Bride and Groom Portraits, Dinner and Speeches
A final bride and groom portrait session was fulfilled on the beach, at sunset, before the couple sat down for dinner and speeches with their family. In brief, this was the closure of their marvellous 3-day Indian Destination Wedding in Cancun.
