Indian Wedding AVA Resort Cancun

Sahiba & Sagar. 7 – 10 January, 2026

A Beautiful Sikh & Hindu Indian Wedding AVA Resort Cancun

Sahiba and Sagar’s four-day Sikh and Hindu Indian Wedding AVA Resort Cancun was a vibrant celebration of culture, family, and love. Bringing together traditions from both faiths, their destination wedding in Cancun was filled with colour, emotion, and unforgettable moments — set against the stunning Caribbean backdrop of Mexico’s newest luxury resort.

Our journey with Sahiba and Sagar actually began a few weeks earlier in Central London, where we photographed their engagement shoot in late January. Walking through the elegant streets of London together gave us the perfect opportunity to get to know them both before their incredible wedding celebrations in Mexico.

When January arrived, friends and family travelled from across the world to celebrate their Indian Wedding AVA Resort Cancun, located along the pristine coastline of Cancun.

Day 1 – A Relaxed Wedding Welcome Party

The celebrations began with a laid-back wedding welcome party, allowing guests to reconnect and settle into the relaxed atmosphere of the resort. Destination weddings often bring together families and friends from different parts of the world, and this evening provided the perfect opportunity for everyone to mingle and enjoy the tropical surroundings of Cancun before the main celebrations began.

Day 2 – A Spectacular Sangeet on the AVA Terrace

The following evening, the festivities continued with a spectacular Sangeet celebration held on the open-air AVA Terrace at the resort.

The terrace was transformed with stunning décor and a personalised dance floor, creating an incredible setting overlooking the Caribbean Sea. As the sun set over Cancun, the energy of the evening truly came alive.

Family members and close friends delivered beautifully choreographed dance performances, filling the night with laughter, music, and unforgettable moments. The Sangeet is always one of the most joyful parts of a South Asian wedding, and Sahiba and Sagar’s celebration was no exception.

Day 3 – Sikh Anand Karaj and Hindu Wedding Ceremony

The wedding day began with getting-ready moments for both the bride and groom in their respective suites at AVA Resort. These quieter preparations often produce some of the most emotional moments of the entire wedding.

One particularly touching tradition was Sahiba’s Chorra ceremony, where her uncles placed the traditional bridal bangles on her wrists — a beautiful Sikh custom symbolising blessings for the bride’s new chapter in life.

Soon after, Sahiba’s bridesmaids surprised her with a sentimental gift that left the entire room in tears.

Before the ceremonies began, Sahiba and Sagar shared a private first look in a secluded location within the resort. In this intimate moment together, they also took the opportunity to read their vows to one another — an incredibly emotional exchange that brought joyful tears from both of them.

A Colourful Baraat Through AVA Resort

Shortly afterwards, the celebrations burst into life with Sagar’s vibrant baraat procession.

With colour bombs exploding in the air, Indian flags waving proudly, and Sagar arriving in a vintage car, the energy was electric. Friends and family danced their way through the resort towards the AVA Terrace, where the ceremonies were about to begin.

The Anand Karaj & Hindu Wedding Ceremony

The ceremonies of this marvellous Indian Wedding AVA Resort Cancun first took part in a traditional Sikh Anand Karaj ceremony, held overlooking the Caribbean Sea on the AVA Terrace. The ceremony was deeply meaningful, filled with blessings, prayer, and beautiful spiritual moments.

After a short recess, the celebrations continued with a Hindu wedding ceremony, bringing together traditions from both cultures in one extraordinary setting.

The Grand Finale – An Elegant Ballroom Reception

After a brief rest in the evening, guests gathered once again for the grand finale of the celebrations: a stunning black-tie reception in one of AVA Resort’s elegant ballrooms.

The décor was sophisticated and glamorous, with guests dressed in tuxedos and evening gowns. The evening began with grand entrances from the bride and groom’s families and bridal party, followed by Sahiba and Sagar themselves.

Their romantic first dance set the tone for the evening, followed by heartfelt speeches, cake cutting, and an energetic dance floor that continued late into the night.

It was the perfect finale to an extraordinary four-day Sikh and Hindu destination wedding in Cancun.
