Hacienda del Mar Wedding - Playa del Carmen

Lindsey and Kevin hosted their Mexico destination wedding in Playa del Carmen, at Hacienda del Mar. A large Mexican style villa with 15 suites situated next to a serene beach on the Mexican Riviera Maya.

Bride Lindsey got ready with her family in one of the master suites that boasted a superb spacious balcony and beach view. While Lindsey´s groom Kevin had a very brief getting ready. So, he could join his friends and wedding guests for a few sneak drinks on the terrace prior to the wedding ceremony.

The bride and grooms wedding ceremony took place at the front of the Hacienda del Mar. The bride´s brother-in-law was the officiant, combining a few touching words with a surprise song during the ceremony.

After the ceremony and the family and formal group photos. We led the newlyweds down to the beach in front of Hacienda del Mar for bride and groom portraits. However, a sudden gust of wind caught the brides veil during the shoot. Consequently, the veil ended up in the sea. As a result, I ended up wading into the sea fully clothed to recover the veil. Much to the amusement of all the wedding guests

Hacienda del Mar Wedding Reception

After the bride and groom portraits, everyone sat down for dinner, whilst a few close family members gave speeches. Shortly after the bride and her father led the guests outside to the dance floor, for the father-daughter dance. Followed by the bride and grooms first dance.

It didn´t take long for the party to get started. Wedding guests improvised with a couple of brooms they found around Hacienda del Mar to get everyone involved in a game of dance floor limbo! The wedding receptions antics got more wild. Resulting in both bride and groom ending up in the Hacienda del Mar swimming pool towards the end of the evening  Here is a overview of this wonderful couples wedding.
